• Tiny Talkers Baby Signing Workshop - Signing with your baby will help strengthen the bond between your family and its newest member by allowing your child to communicate with you during their pre-verbal stage. Teaching your babies to sign enables THEM to ask YOU a question, tell you their needs and desires or initiate a conversation about something that interests them. • Growing Gardens Youth Grow Program – Their emphasis is on sustainable, healthy, and affordable approaches to vegetable gardening. Parent/child gardening workshops offered. For more info check out their website.
• Cosmic Monkey’s Kids Comics Club – Comics Reading Club followed by a Comics Art Class. For all kids ages 8+. Parents welcome too. Visit their Facebook page  or website for more info about the club.
• PDX Sign Baby - A community of parents/care-givers who are interested in signing with their children (ages 0 to 4 years). Classes and playgroups are open to all. For more info go to their website. 
• North Portland Preserve and Serve - A community resource dedicated to fostering sustainability through the focus of home food preservation, waste reduction and reuse. We loan a variety of food preservation equipment and durable dishes to North Portland community members for a small donation of $5-30. Items are available on a first come first serve basis via email reservation. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. Classes in food preservation are offered monthly for $10 per class during the preservation season (June-October).
